Role Profile
We are currently recruiting for a Buyer with Chemical experience for our client based in Aberdeen.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to join an established and successful business. This is a new role for a new and growing team so there are great opportunities to develop in the company and gain experience from those around you. This business is looking for strategic candidates who will be looking at cost downs and supplier re-evaluation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the spend and ensuring competitive pricing
• Negotiating with suppliers reducing lead times and improving supplier reliability
• Managing supplier performance and identify process improvements
• Developing robust and strategic supplier relationships
• Lead saving projects and working with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a procurement role
• Exposure to the chemical industry
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Proven stakeholder management skills and excellent communication / interpersonal skills
