Role Profile

Outstanding opportunity for Indirect Category Manager with focus on supporting Purchasing activities across a number of divisions of this multinational manufacturing operation. Programmes are specifically involved with large scale Capex projects especially installation of new production lines and equipment for this expanding global business.

Ideally coming from a strategic purchasing environment in a fmcg / food manufacturing environment, the ideal candidates will be comfortable coordinating both Purchasing and Production functions whilst managing engagement with the supplier base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging proactively with stakeholders to secure aligned decisions and gain access to innovation from suppliers and market.
  • Driving procurement excellence within sub-categories by increasing overall value from the supply
  • Fullly understanding the Total Cost Ownership and Total Value Ownership analysis models.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing/Category Management, desirable from an FMCG Food manufacturing background.
  • You will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, hold a relevant business or purchasing qualification (CIPS).
  • A strong business acumen and excellent analytical skills, you will be proficient in negotiating and contract management with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Flexibility to travel
  • Flexible / home working options available
