Demand Planner
£35,000 - £38,000 +benefits
Role Profile
Our client, a multi-national FMCG business, is looking for a Demand Planner to join their Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for optimising the demand planning and stock holding, increasing production stability and in-store availability whilst consulting with the Sales Team on future demand projections and stock availability.
You will drive forecast accuracy across the business by working with the commercial functions identifying potential problems and minimising the risk whilst continually seeking ways to improve relationships with the customer base.
Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data taking information from a variety of sources
  • Control area of Inventory within Group guidelines & targets
  • Keeping out of stocks and overstocks to an agreed level and ensuring stock holding is current and clean by accurate Demand Forecasting
  • Constantly review forecast accuracy and update forward forecasts
  • Monitor & analyse sell in & sell through
  • Produce regular statistical reporting for use in other areas of the business including;
  • Quarterly sales/purchasing forecast review/report
  • Annual sales forecast & purchasing forecast
  • Process purchase orders (based on forecast)
  • Manage end of line forecasts
  • Full responsibility for product cost files

Skills & Experience

  • The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with 2+ years of Demand Planning experience.
  • Solid supply chain background
  • Experience working in a FMCG / retail environment
  • Demand planning experience.
  • Knowledge of S&OP processes and long range forecasting
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools, resource planning software
  • Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A hands-on attitude and 'no problem' approach
  • Highly analytical with the ability to deal with complex and detailed data streams
  • Desire and ability to take responsibility
  • Creative thinker
  • Approachable, enthusiastic, likeable, team player
  • Experience analysis and interpreting data
