Role Profile
Cast UK are supporting our client, who is a leading logistics business, in their recruitment process of a Depot Manager. Reporting to the Operations Director you will oversee a team of 60 - 70 professionals within a busy Depot.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for ensuring company operating metrics within the distribution centre are delivered
- Ensure distribution centre costs are managed to budget
- Ensure the distribution centre operates safely
- Improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution centre
- Ensure appropriate training plans are in place for all colleagues
- Overall responsibility for the transport function alongside the Transport Manager
Skills & Experience
- Financial understanding and cost management
- Operational experience within a fast paced environment
- Comfortable leading a team in a busy environment, providing leadership and development to the team
- Experience in transport
