Depot Manager, Cheshire, Competitive Salary + Car Allowance

This role oversees a busy workshop with a focus on health and safety to ensure all activity is completed in line with legislation. In addition, the role is heavily focused on business development of external work, to maximise depot profitability.
So, what's involved in the role?
If you have worked in a busy HGV/Tanker workshop before you will know what it takes to run an efficient operation. You will ultimately be responsible for the workshop where general repairs are undertaken but also the Wash Bay where tankers are flushed ready for a change in cargo.
You will use your business acumen daily, taking full P&L responsibility for the depot, with a focus on developing new and existing business. Developing relationships with all existing customers to always ensure customer satisfaction. Produce annual budgets, undertake performance reviews and prepare performance reports for the senior team.
You will use your management skills to conduct disciplinaries and investigations, monitor attendance, ensure company equipment is inspected and tested all in line with company policy.
You will always strive for continuous improvements, leading and contributing to projects and initiatives, champion new ways of working and set standards in terms of safety. Leading by example to improve the culture of safety.

What are we looking for?
Ideally you will have solid management experience within the industry with experience monitoring dangerous goods and equipment. An understanding of ISO tanks would be extremely desirable.
You will be comfortable dealing with customers and developing relationships with a commercial mindset with solid business acumen. In addition to this you will be a confident in project and change management.
You will ideally have your IOSH certificate, NEBOSH certification and experience with COMAH would be beneficial.
