Role Profile
Cast UK are partnered with a leading retail business to recruit an E-commerce Trading Merchandiser to join their head office team based in Greater Manchester. Reporting into the Head of Trading and overseeing a small team, you will use your experience gained in a similar role to strategically drive growth in both sales and profit through the web, liaising between buying, the web team and merchandising to optimise sell through and identify opportunities.
This position will ideally suit someone currently working as a Merchandiser for an online or multi-channel retailer who possesses strong planning, trading and analytical skills. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to put their mark on the role and have autonomy over this area of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting Web KPI's in conjunction with E-commerce and Core Merchandise teams
- Ensuring that all sites have a clear pre-season and in-season strategy
- Monitoring results versus forecast and informing the business of potential opportunities and risks
- Supporting the Junior Outlet Merchandiser with the planning and execution of the Outlet business
- Strategically building plans to drive sales and stock within the forecast
- Undertaking analysis to improve product decisions and opportunities
- Identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses, proposing and taking action to increase sales
- Liaising with the Design / Web Marketing teams to ensure the correct product is driven through all web marketing channels
- Ensuring the site is visually merchandised to maximise sales and conversion
- Building strong relationships with internal teams such as Core Merch
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of competitor sites (product and pricing) to ensure the business is competitive at all times
- Understanding the end to end process of product journey from supplier to customer and make suggestions to improve efficiency and service levels
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Currently working as an established Junior Merchandiser or Merchandiser within a multi-channel or online retail business
- Strong planning, trading, analytical and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong commercial awareness and trading mentality
- Effective influencing Skills
- Proactive and confident
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
- Strong customer awareness and understanding
- A strong desire to drive website growth

- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and key Web Metrics
