Role Profile

Our client is a growing Logistics business who is looking to expand their Freight team by hiring a team of Freight Forwarders to be based out of their growing operation based in Greater Manchester. Reporting to the Director, you will provide a logistical solution for the safe transportation of customer cargo from and to their required destinations whilst always meeting and where possible exceeding agreed SLA's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, accept and process all customer bookings in accordance with customer and company requirements.
• Provide quotations to both client and carrier.
• Ensure all relevant documentation is in place for successful completion of the booking.
• Allocate and plan customer bookings to allocated carrier ensuring all parameters are considered for a successful and timely delivery.
• Ensure all planning is complete in accordance with revenue and profit budgetary requirements.
• Maintain up to date delivery status information including discrepancies in accordance with customer SLA requirements.
• Pro-active management of all deliveries to include timely resolution of any issues which may affect a successful delivery on time and in full.
• Point of contact for all customer queries providing effective and timely responses.
• Ensuring that overall customer service expectations are met at all times.
• Maintaining in house systems to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to the customer, dealing with and resolving any subsequent issues which may arise.

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to work under pressure using own initiative.
• Previous Business Development/Account Management experience is essential
• Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.
