Role Profile
My client is a thriving business in the Warrington area, looking to recruit a Buyer to look after Indirect Procurement spend.
This is a strategic procurement role focused on tendering and contract negotiation and will suit a candidate who is passionate about further developing their career within Procurement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end to end sourcing requirements for Indirect category spend
- Conducting tendering exercises and negotiating contractual terms with suppliers
- Delivering cost savings and value added
- Undertaking contract management and supplier relationship management
- Engaging stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar procurement role
- Proven track record of negotiating contractual terms, tendering and contract management
- Proven stakeholder management skills and excellent communication / interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills with good working knowledge of Excel
- Confident negotiation skills and strong commercial acumen
- CIPS qualification (or willingness to work towards CIPS)
