Role Profile
Cast UK are currently supporting one of our prestigious clients with the recruitment process of a Senior Shift Manager for their fast paced operation based in Manchester. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee a team within a large scale operation and be responsible for the day to day management of the team including Shift Managers and Team Leaders. Typically you will work Mon- Fri with flexibility required across shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day management of shift managers and team leaders
- Performance management and other HR processes including disciplinaries and grievances up to and including dismissal
- KPI management and reporting across operational, commercial and financial targets
- Resource planning in line with fluctuating volumes and customer requirements
- Promote culture of H&S and driving exceptional standards across the warehouse
- Drive performance and influence positive change
- Deputise for Operations Manager where necessary
Skills and Experiences
- Proven experience working at Shift Manager level within a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse
- Ability to influence at all levels and drive positive culture
- Experience managing disciplinaries, grievances and other related HR processes
- Strong focus on customer requirements and exceeding expectations
- Multi-temperature and/ or 3PL experience would be advantageous
