Head of Commercial

A growing organisation within the logistics sector is seeking a dynamic Head of Commercial to drive its next phase of UK-wide expansion. This newly created role combines strategic leadership with hands-on commercial delivery, focusing on customer growth, training revenue and value-adding services for customers across the industry.
The Role
Reporting directly into the senior leadership team, you will shape and execute a commercial strategy that accelerates new business, deepens engagement with existing customers, and enhances the overall value proposition. You will lead a small commercial team, build strong external relationships, and identify new opportunities that contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow customer numbers and commercial income
- Lead commercial development of training and professional development offerings
- Identify new business opportunities offering a wide range of services
- Strengthen engagement through effective communication and relationship management
- Coach and develop a small, high-performing team
- Contribute to wider projects that support organisational growth and visibility
About You
- Strong track record of B2B commercial success with measurable growth achievements
- Experience developing and selling training or service-based products preferred
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and building long-term relationships
- Strategic and analytical thinker with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset
- Motivational leader with excellent communication skills
