Role Profile
Cast UK are partnered with a leading retail business to recruit a Junior Merchandiser to sit within the web trading team. This is a newly created position due to growth where you will take ownership of a new Outlet website the company is launching. Reporting into the E-commerce Trading Merchandiser, you will use your experience gained in a similar merchandising role to effectively maximise sales and profit across the site, building relationships with other internal and external departments, identifying risks and opportunities by effective management of inventory.

This position will ideally suit someone currently working in an ideally a multi-channel retailer, at established Assistant Merchandiser level upwards who possesses strong trading and analytical skills. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to put their mark on a newly created position, have autonomy over this new area and drive it forward. Key Responsibilities

• Creating a top line quarterly and seasonal strategy relating to all KPI's
• Creating and collating seasonal range plans in conjunction with the buyer
• Creating seasonal markdown planning documents
• Building and maintaining relationships with brand partners
• Providing analysis and summary of markdown and promotional activity for the new Outlet venture
• Providing weekly summary of KPI's relating to sales, stock, profit, versus budget
• Providing weekly trading actions to optimise department sales and margin
• Working with the Core merch team to maintain WSSI forecasts and oracle planning
• Reviewing daily sales, identifying areas of weakness, proposing and taking action to increase sales
• Reviewing top website searches, taking action to improve results and increase sales

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

• Experience working as an established Assistant Merchandiser within a fast-paced retail head office is essential, ideally multi-channel.
• Strong planning, analytical and IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Strong commercial awareness and trading mentality
• Effective influencing Skills
• Good judgement and decision-making skills
• Commercial with a good understanding of the customer
• Passionate about product
• Highly organised, methodical and efficient
• A knowledge of Google Analytics and key Web metrics
