Role Profile
Cast UK are supporting our client, who is a leading logistics business, in their recruitment process of a Transport Manager. Reporting to the Depot Manager you will oversee a team of 30 to 35 professionals within a busy Depot.
Key Accountabilities:
- Motivate a team Transport Coordinators & Drivers to ensure the best level customer service.
- Review and manage performance and development.
- Pro-active in developing operational improvements.
- Promote and ensure compliance with transport policies.
- Plan, organise and manage the routing of deliveries and collections.
- Manage costs efficiently in line with budgets.
- Ensure the vehicle fleet is well maintained.
Skills & Experience
- Transport/Logistics experience in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of managing budgets or cost control
