The skills required
Management of people is a skill that will be essential in the operations manager, as they might oversee other managers as well as general staff members. Communicating company policy between the board and the workers is also key, so skills in performing this task clearly and accurately will be essential.
An ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and to consistently hit targets will matter immensely in the job, as customer satisfaction or tolerance can never be taken for granted in business.
An ability to spot inefficiencies and deal with them in a timely manner will greatly improve the profitability of the company and will therefore make the operations manager a valued member of any team. Doing this well whilst maintaining morale and customer satisfaction is key to the job.

Hastings has no historical claims on the UK’s culture – unless you count a minor scuffle in 1066 that changed the rulers of the nation forever. In fact, the main battle took place on a Senlac Hill, about 6 miles (10 km) to the northwest of the town, but it’s known to generations of schoolchildren as the Battle of Hastings. It still remains so.
Hastings is a relatively large town, with a static population approaching 100,000. Its tourism industry is its largest employer, but fishing and its related industries is still quite important. Around the town there are many small businesses and a few retail and industrial parks.
