The Opportunity

Are you a Chef who's successfully transitioned into sales? Or an experienced Area Sales Manager with a genuine passion for food and commercial kitchens?

We're recruiting on behalf of an established and highly respected manufacturer within the commercial catering equipment sector. With an innovative product portfolio and an brilliant reputation across the foodservice industry, they're looking to appoint an ambitious Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the South West.

This is far more than a traditional field sales role. You'll become a trusted advisor to customers, demonstrating premium catering equipment in live kitchen environments and helping operators improve efficiency, consistency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

As Area Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of an established territory, developing existing customer relationships whilst identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and growing an established customer portfolio across the South West.
• Winning new business through proactive business development.
• Delivering engaging live cooking demonstrations to showcase product capabilities.
• Working closely with distributors, dealers and end users across the hospitality and foodservice sectors.
• Developing long-term relationships with chefs, catering managers, consultants and business owners.
• Identifying customer challenges and recommending equipment solutions that add genuine value.
• Consistently delivering against sales targets and territory growth objectives.

About You

We're looking for an individual who combines commercial drive with genuine foodservice expertise.

• A background as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or experienced Chef who has successfully moved into a sales environment.
• Alternatively, experience selling commercial catering equipment or foodservice solutions.
• A strong understanding of back-of-house kitchen operations.
• Experience managing a sales territory and generating new business.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to deliver live product demonstrations.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence purchasing decisions.
• A resilient, self-motivated approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
